"Stypandra"

Erect perennial herb up to 1m high. Leaves are linear, 7-15cm long to 1cm wide, stem-clasping in opposite rows up to the base of flowers. Flowers are blue, about 2cm across, with yellow anthers in loose branching clusters. Widespread from coast to ranges, in open forest, often in poor soils. Found in all states, flowers in winter and spring.
