Waragil Workshops
John Caldwell's painting and drawing workshops, now conducted in his Blackheath Studio, are much sought after by enthusiastic students who want to learn from an internationally renowned artist.
The five day workshop, held on the Anzac Day weekend, was a huge success. Our thanks go to the Schuetrumpf - 'Olana' - and Tyrell - 'Dryridge Estate Wines' - families for their generous hospitality in hosting our day in the Megalong Valley.
Future workshops will be held in John's own studio, at 18 Waragil Street, Blackheath. This gives students the opportunity to rent Waragil House in Blackheath. Another alternative for accommodation is beautiful Sunrise Lodge at Dryridge Estates in the Megalong Valley.

Next Workshop:

13th - 14th June 2009

"The workshops wil involve the procedure I follow in my own painting practice. The landscape will be the main subject matter demonstrated, but still life and figurative work will also be covered. A student's level of art experience is of little relevance for this workshop. In the cause of students pursuing their own personal directions, I believe the greatest assistance I can give is on a one to one basis, and so the class size will be kept to a maximum of seven students."
